It’s that time of the year again: Christmas is quickly coming. With the times being as difficult financially as they are, it can be challenging for individuals to spend as much money as they used to do in recent years. Therefore, a lot are willing to get homemade Christmas gifts this gift giving season.  Below are some terrific ideas for Christmas homemade gifts that you can effortlessly create for your next holiday time.

Whenever you are good at sewing there are a lot of presents that you can create for Christmas presents. You can produce hot/cold rice bags. These are fantastic gifts for those you love that have back pain or some other sort of pain. Once you have your rice bag assembled, you can bond directions allowing the person that receives your present know that they can freeze the rice bag for cold remedy and microwave the rice bag for hot pain remedy. Do not forget to precise that they just need to heat the rice bag for only 2 minutes to avoid starting a fire. You can also sew together fleece covers or quilts which would make gifts that the ones you love would for sure appreciate for many years.

Here’s an additional Christmas homemade gift idea. Whenever you like to knit or crochet, you could create stunning hats, sweaters or different hand made apparel. Supposing there are children on your Christmas gift list you can make some amigurumi dolls. You can make these really cute and unusual dolls look like their favorite cartoon character or a doll of your own design.

Food can be an additional well received homemade Christmas gift idea. You can have anything; whether candies or cookies. You can offer gifts in a jar that can be almost any recipe that you want to prepare. Recipes like beer bread, red velvet cake and chocolate chip cookies are very popular options for this sort of present.

Jewelry makes terrific gifts but can be an costly choice, then giving your own jewelry creations as homemade Christmas gifts might be a fantastic option. You can get jewels that are associated with a certain profession or create “mothers bracelets” that have their children’s names and birthstones on them. The good thing about creating your own jewelry is that you will be offering unique creations which will have your gift all that much more exceptional.

This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to giving Christmas homemade gifts. With a little ingenuity and effort you can make several special homemade Christmas gifts that will make the coming Christmas season that a lot more extraordinary.

5th Day of Christmas Prize!

One of the reasons I love Chinese New Year, is that I get to dillydally with my New Year resolutions.  I get to try them out before I really commit to them.  This year’s no different. I now commit to this New Year …
..Resolution: My new year resolution is to act upon great ideas generated in 2009, and to complete all worthwhile craft projects that I’ve already started. And I have tons of work in process (WIP craft).

To Do: FILE & USE LIST.

Comment: The below list of ‘101 Top Free & Green Craft Tutorials of 2009’ serves as my basis for many of these planned / WIP craft projects. I’ll make my own version based on them. And I will promise not to buy any Amy Butler fabric, as that’s kind of cheating: pretty much everything looks better in her fabric. Even mundane little string bags….. It’s kind of like she’s doing the craft for us.

No, instead, I’ll really, really try to recycle.

Many of the free craft tutorials below upcycle previously-used materials. Often the tutorials imply using new materials, but they would often look just as good, if not better, when using recyclables.  Many of the projects here could be created using recyclable materials, sometimes easily, sometimes not.  The ‘U’  marks in the craft tutorial list below indicate that these tutorials are written with ‘upcycling, refashioning & recycling used materials’ in mind. The other craft projects here could be made using recycled materials, if you so wish.

Inspiration: If I can inspire you to recycle while crafting, I’ll be really happy.

 Confession: I made this list

as much for me as for you.
